For the half-time entertainment, founders Max Smith and Andrew Deters, shared their vision for the foundation. They also shared some of the reasons that led them to start a foundation and explained how they plan to raise funds to help kids all over Minnesota have an opportunity to play sports. Following the speech came an informational video featuring Minnesota hockey legend, Pat Micheletti, and US soccer star, Tony Sanneh. The video captured how important sports are for these two former professionals, and provided examples of how kids of all ages can benefit from sports.
On Sunday December 21st, 2014, despite another Purple and Gold last minute let down against the Dolphins, the InSports Foundation celebrated their first event as an official Non-Profit organization. Over 120 of supporters of the foundation gathered at the Vikings Stadium Preview Center to watch the game and learn a little more about the foundation’s mission of helping kids get in the game.
The Vikings Stadium Preview Center offers a first-hand look at the new stadium, which will be opening in July 2016. The facility—7,500 square feet in size--includes a plethora of features, including 37 high-definition televisions and seven interactive kiosks. The space provided a great experience for those who made it on the InSports VIP Guest List.
In all, the InSports Foundation raised nearly $12,000 between individual donations and the proceeds from a silent auction. InSports would like to thank everyone who made it to the event. We appreciate all the donations that were received!
For those who could not make it to the event, you can still support by donating or ordering InSports t-shirts and sweatshirts! Click on the buttons below.

The InSports Foundation is a proud sponsor of the Twin Cities Classic, a charity all-star high school basketball event on August 10, 2014 at 2pm. The one-day event will feature the top Minnesota high school basketball players, as well as other prestigious top players from across the country. There will be 3 all-star games on this day; Additionally there will be a three-point shoot out and a slam-dunk contest.
The Twin Cities Classic is partnering up with the American Cancer Society, all of the proceeds will go towards research and families in need. The InSports Apparel division is happy to supply the jerseys for this event as well as provide event t-shirts that will be available for purchasing that day.
“The event is more than a showcase of basketball talent. It provides the players a platform to show they are more than just athletes. They are contributing to a cause bigger than themselves — something bigger than basketball. Those who passed away from cancer don’t leave a legacy of cancer; they leave a legacy of fight. Their fight to be there for their family and community. That fight continues with the Twin Cities Classic.” –www.TwinCitiesClassic.org
