In December, the InSports Foundation partnered with the Sioux Falls Stampede to put on a hockey camp run by Stampede coaches and players. Our 2020 event hosted two skills camps. We had a great response this year with about 50 participants in the South Dakota area. Each young athlete had the opportunity in a one-hour on-ice skills session, received a Stampede practice jersey and one gold-level Stampede game ticket. Thank you to the Stampede for another successful camp, helping kids get IN the game. Check out the fun we had below!
Reiley's LegacyOn Wednesday, August 19th, golfers, sponsors, and volunteers filled The Wilds Golf Course in Prior Lake for the 7th Annual InSports Foundation golf tournament! The day was filled with socially distanced fun, golf, and perfect weather. A huge thank you to the Wild’s staff for helping ensure the safety of our golfers and volunteers during the tournament. The InSports Foundation raised over $76,000 to continue our mission of providing all kids an equal opportunity to participate in sports! We are excited and grateful to have TWO All IN presenting sponsors this year. As an all-in supporter, The HON Company and Newell Brands will be the presenting sponsors for all 2021 InSports Days! Through our InSports days, scholarships, and sponsorships, we are able to alleviate financial barriers for young athletes. Thank you to our golfers and sponsors for making this event a success - With your support, InSports has been able to help of 44,00 kids get IN the game!
The kids weren't the only ones who had fun this summer- we did too! Through our free camps, these kids were able to stay active, try something new, and have fun. We can't wait to be back again next year!
This summer, we were fortunate enough to partner with Premier Sport Psychology, who provided the kids of our community with valuable information about leading a healthy live. Based in the Twin Cities, Premier works with people of all ages and backgrounds, including professional, collegiate, high school, amateur, and youth athletes, as well as musicians, actors, performers, and business professionals. They also work with the University of Minnesota Athletic Department, providing sport psychology services to 750+ student-athletes. Their mission, much like our own at the InSports Foundation, is to help athletes reach optimal performance, mental health, and enjoyment in their sport and life endeavors. During the summer, the kids were able to learn about different topics like Setting Goals, Confidence and Resilience, all while playing fun and stimulating games and activities. The partnership was a huge success, and we thank Premier for helping the kids of the Twin Cities get in the game!
