![]() By Lauren Coty, With an average pace of 7 minutes 24 seconds per mile, Scott “Squat “Felton of Innovative Office Solutions completed the 2015 Minneapolis Marathon in 3 hours and 13 minutes! He successfully set a personal record with this time, as well as placing 45th out of 903 runners and 1st place in his age group! The InSports Foundation saw this as a great opportunity to support Scott and also inspire kids to get active. We created the Pledge For Scott campaign where employees could pledge to support Scott in his marathon and our foundation. Employees who pledged $15 or more received an InSports wristband and water bottle, resulting in over $750 raised for our foundation! Marathons, 5k’s, and other long distance runs do not just have to be for adults. Running offers benefits to any kid willing to get active, especially the ones that are not as athletically inclined as others as it allows them to go at their own pace. Running is accessible to virtually anyone; it comes with a very low price tag as well. Scott Felton is an inspiration to both adults and children, showing them that no matter what age you are, getting out and running is a simple yet valuable way to stay active. |
