The scholarship will cover all costs of attending the camp. The scholarship is intended for underprivileged kids who may not have the opportunity to participate in the camp otherwise due to financial sustainability. The Saints summer youth baseball camp is June 27th to June 30th and the second camp will be from July 12th to July 14th. The camp is for any boy or girl between the ages of 6 and 13. During this weekend, the kids will learn the fundamentals of baseball through one-on-one and group instruction led by Saints Manager George Tsamis. The camp will reinforce the fundamentals of hitting, catching, fielding, and throwing in an amazing atmosphere at the new CHS field! The kids the will have the opportunity to meet and play with Saints players and coaches. This is a great opportunity to get kids whom have suffered from hardship the ability to go out and have some fun for a few days. Getting kids out and keeping them active is an essential part of youth development and this really gives a chance to some kids who may not have the necessary amenities to get out and play everyday. This year the Saints have reached out to team up with the Insports foundation to help find and provide 9 kids with this opportunity to receive this scholarship. The application for the scholarship can be found in the link below. Applicants will be required to fill out a form covering personal and academic information as well as having to complete a short essay about what sports means to him/her, and why he/she is deserving of the scholarship. The application deadline for the June camp is June 15th and the deadline for the July camp will be June 30th Good luck applicants, and go Saints!
